Features

A forecast built for your hair, not the sidewalk.

Regular weather apps tell you if it will rain. CurlCast tells you if today's air will hold — or wreck — your style.

Hold score, 0–100

A single number that tells you whether a blowout will last, based on humidity, dew point, and rain chance where you actually are.

Tuned to your curl pattern

Set your type from 1A to 4C and your porosity. Two people at the same address get different forecasts.

8-day outlook

See the driest day of the week at a glance. Plan the wedding, the interview, the photoshoot — pick your best window.

Location-aware, instantly

CurlCast reads your local conditions the moment you open it. Travelling? It updates automatically, no setup.

Any city, no account needed

Use your location or search another city. Traveling? Check tomorrow's air before you pack your flat iron.

Pro-tips for the day

When the air is against you, CurlCast suggests protective styles, primers, and finishing products that fit the forecast.

FAQ

Answers, before you download.

Is CurlCast free?

CurlCast is free to download and starts with a 3-day free trial — you won’t be charged during those three days. After the trial, CurlCast+ is $1.99/week or $29.99/year, and a subscription is required to keep using the app. You can cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings, and canceling before the trial ends means you pay nothing.

Do I need to create an account?

No. CurlCast works without an account or sign-in. You set your curl pattern and porosity once, and it's stored on your device.

How does CurlCast use my location?

Location is used only to pull current weather from a weather provider. It stays on your device and isn't sold, shared for advertising, or linked to your identity. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Is this medical or professional hair advice?

No. CurlCast is a decision tool that scores atmospheric conditions against your hair type. It is not a substitute for guidance from a licensed stylist or dermatologist.

Where does the weather data come from?

Current weather is provided by Open-Meteo. CurlCast layers hair-specific scoring on top — the humidity, dew point, and precipitation figures themselves come from the weather service.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Your hair profile is stored on your device, so deleting the app removes it. You can also tap Clear my data in the app’s Settings to remove your curl pattern, porosity, saved location, and preferences at any time — your subscription isn’t affected. Or email gillianelyse@gmail.com with any request and we'll delete anything associated with you.
